2011 Belmont Stakes Post Positions and Morning Line

2011 Kentucky Derby Winner Animal Kingdom, left, and 2011 Preakness winner Shackleford, right, mentally preparing for this Saturday's Belmont Stakes, each in their own way.

The post positions and morning line odds for this year's Belmont Stakes were drawn today. The Belmont is the only Triple Crown race that Professor Paulie actually gets to attend and, along with the Travers at Saratoga, is one of the highlights of NY racing. It's also run at a track that I know, love, and handicap regularly, so I'm hoping my predictions don't come up lacking the way they they did in the Derby and the Preakness - this is my home court, after all.

Tune in to No Hassle at the Castle on Friday for my big Belmont Stakes race analysis. Here are the contenders, with post positions, jockeys, and morning line odds:

1 - Master of Hounds, Garrett Gomez, 10-1

2 - Stay Thirsty, Javier Castellano, 22-1

3 - Ruler On Ice, Jose Valdivia, Jr., 25-1

4 - Santiva, Shaun Bridgmohan, 15-1

5 - Brilliant Speed, Joel Rosario, 20-1

6 - Nehro, Corey Nakatani, 9-2
